Laura Girzade is a young Lithuanian designer, but her projects are already attracting attention. Her studio Softdecor created an intriguing snow-white interior with a mezzanine - the apartment in Vilnius strikes with its balance.
The whole interior is painted with a paint of one color - atspalvis-RAL 9003. Such a move was not a desire to stand out, but a necessary measure. After all, the building in which the apartments are located has its long history and an interesting heterogeneous architectural structure - the attic ceiling, rounded slopes of windows on an area of only 59 sq. M. m.
The designer has chosen a free lay-out. In the open space of the first level, there is a laconic sofa for the living room, a compact but equally functional kitchen bathroom and a ladder with wooden steps leading to the bedroom.
The conditional second floor is occupied by a bedroom. There is nothing superfluous, at first it even surprises the lack of standard storage systems. But the fact is that the apartment is intended for short-term rent, and therefore Laura Girzade could afford to create an interior without a single massive cabinet. ■
